Shacharit/morning services at 9:30 a.m.
Yizkor at 11 a.m. followed by kiddush
Classes:
4:45 p.m. – Torah Transmission – How do I know the scroll in the ark is the same one given thousands of years ago? Who gets to interpret it? What is the Oral Torah and is it necessary?
5:45 p.m. – Jewish Practice – Hands on- Hands out – Where does Jewish law come from? Who gets to decide what it is? How is modern technology incorporated into Jewish law? Class will end with a hands on presentation.
Mincha at 7 p.m. followed by a Neilas Hachag – a traditional celebration to mark the end of each of the three festivals with a meal replete with food and drink, singing and shared words of Torah.
Shavuot concludes at 8:14 p.m.
